Nandini Hasija (b. 1994, India) is based in Basel, Switzerland. She works between New Delhi, Amsterdam and Basel.

She began her education as a textile designer under the Faculty of Design at LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore (2013) which eventually resulted in her pursuing a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the same institute from 2014-17. She specializes in Mark-Making and Sculpture. She recently graduated with a Master’s in Artistic Research from Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht 2017-19.

She is a draughts-person and a textile artist. Her experimental practice of Mark-Making with textile and graphite has aided her to develop her niche using jute rope to weave soft sculptures. Hasija's artistic research and practice are concerned with feminist themes of womanism, essentialism and identity politics. Her current research involves themes of territory, demarcation of space, identity formation and migration.

Solo exhibitions include Dreaming Landscapes, Instinc Art Gallery, Singapore (2017) and Weaving Labyrinths Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi, India (2017). Selected group shows include Colors Of Ours, All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS), New Delhi, India (2016); One Night Only, Winstd Campus, Lasalle College of The Arts, Singapore (2016); Work In Progress, Praxis Space, Lasalle College of The Arts, Singapore (2017); The Grad Show, Institute of Contemporary Arts, Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore (2017). She has been an artist in residence at the INSTINC AIR PROGRAM 2017- Instinc Art Gallery, Singapore (2017). She is also the recipient of the Holland Scholarship by The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science (2017).
